What is Finger tumors?

  • Finger tumors are abnormal growths that develop in the bones, soft tissues, or skin of the fingers. They may be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous), with benign tumors being more common.
  • Symptoms may include a lump, swelling, pain, tenderness, changes in nail shape, or difficulty moving the finger. Some tumors grow slowly and cause no symptoms, while others may affect surrounding structures.
  • Diagnosis typically involves clinical examination and imaging, such as X-rays, ultrasound, or MRI. A biopsy may be required to determine the type of tumor. Treatment depends on the tumor's nature, size, and location and may include observation, surgical removal, or specialized treatment for malignant tumors.
